We are a small family run home fragrance business, based in Cheshire, UK. Our team consists of sisters, Em and Kate.
The origins of KIN can be traced back to one rainy summer day in 2023, the flat we were renting at the time was in an old building in central Manchester. The building had an ageing leaky roof and antiquated wooden window frames, which often resulted in the flat smelling a bit damp. We were determined to freshen the place up and hastily purchased a reed diffuser from a big supermarket, but it didn’t create the aroma we were looking for. We decided that day to start making our own diffusers and haven’t looked back since. Throughout the summer we experimented with many different fragrance oils to create a unique range of reed diffusers. This ignited a desire to share these creations with others. We hope to expand our business one day to sell a wide variety of fragrance products for your home.
We both personally strive to stay as eco-conscious as possible and have translated these principles into our business practices. Our diffusers are made with recyclable glass bottles and aluminium screwtops. The reeds we use are made of dried rattan, which is completely biodegradable. Additionally we maintain an eco-friendly approach to our packaging by using cardboard boxes, paper tape and biodegradable packing peanuts.
We are dedicated to supporting local charities and donate 5% of our profits to meaningful causes. Our current chosen charities are the Francis House Children’s Hospice and Motherwell Cheshire CIO.
